so this is what i think about abortion. it's wrong. i hate it. i don't understand how anyone could even try to attempt to justify it. i am not religious, yet the subject of abortion makes me rage, really. i would go as far as to say i hate women who have non-theraputic abortions (rape? insest? you life is in danger? go ahead, seriosly go ahead- it's a legitimate medical procedure). i hate them as i hate the ticket scalpers who sell bdo tickets on ebay for seven hundred times the ammount they purchased them for. i have so much to say about this, but i will refrain. i hate it for the same reason i am a vegetarian and for the same reason i want to be a crown prosecutor. the lives of the innocent- victims of violent crime, unborn children, animals- must be protected. i am so ashamed in the victorian parliament for legalising late term abortion.

i also, and yet on a much less intense level, hate that there is so many carbs in alcahol. or rather, in the amount of wine i drink.

positive liberty not negative liberty, centeralist government, constitutional monarchy, abolish australian state governments, hard line on crime- truth in sentencing and mandatory sentencing, death penealty, anti-abortion except in cases of rape or incest (which constitute what? 0.1% of all instances of abortions?), free universal healthcare (not that australia dosen't already have that! go australia!), more funding for hosptials, illegalisation of prostitution, minimal money on sports and arts becuase most of it is crap, stronger regulations on the meat industry, stronger regulation on "alternative medicine" quacks, free higher education, state funded residential collages, no increases in public transport ever, no money on inter-state tourism, scholarships for orphans to attend boarding schools, monetary compensation for soldiers conscripted in the vietnam war, minimal funding for private schools, compolsary union membership, organ donation from anyone who didn't register their objection, environmentally focused but never so it interferes with industry nessescary for production or employment, bitching at the united nations until australia is in the permenant security council, increased military action against japaneese whaling ships, more funding for the rspca, pay increases for police officers, invade new zealand, lulz.

so i just watched journey's end. it left me feeling a little underwhelmed. it seems no matter what, absolutley anything, the end of the universe and reality and blah this time, really, no for serious it really is this time and there is nothing, no way anyone can stop this cataclysmic disaster, seriously. even then. all the doctor needs to do is say a huge bunch of complicated words really fast and all of a sudden! anything is possible.

after the inital 48 hour period of celery, spinach, mushrooms, capsicum, not being able to walk straight and a headache that hurts like i don't fucking know what, becuase there is no glucose in my brain, i have changed my bodys metabolism of sugar. now the liver produces ketones instead of starchy carbs converting into glucose in the blood. this is, even in pure non-quackery, shown to stop seizures in epilepsy patients, prevent diabeties and kill cancer cells. why wait til i have cancer. what are the stats these days, something rediculiously high like 98 in 100? cancer cells live on sugar- oh yummy cancer cells. why feed them. i have some beer in the fridge and fuck i want to drink it. but i'd rather not die! and everyone that digests hollow carbs is stacking the odds against themselves

i had a strange dream about carley and we were singing in a band about the british colonial expansaion in africa at the end of the 1800's. and then she said i wasn't awesome enough for the band. so i cried to tom and walked home from my old high school with my stupid high school messenger bag and gayzor emo fringe in the blazing hot sun. then when we got home my carley's parents said they were doing shifts up at the hospital and we had to eat plain white bread for dinner.

back in reality, i got house season four today. there is one episode i hadn't seen on tv. excitment.

it's not that i hate prostitutes. well, actually i do. but it's not even about the actual function of their "profession". well, it is. but what i mean to say is, if they want to to spend their lives fucking random punters and developing tertiary syhpillus then they can go right ahead- as a wise man once said to me, it's just natural selection wherein the worst of society is removed from the gene pool. i just wish they would leave the rest of us out of it. even the people who pay the for sex, after they've handed over a wad of cash or a few gold coins, their concern for the welfare of these people comes to a end. why should we have to pay taxes that are going to fund the work of these women. surely they get enough money themselves. and worse- we have to pay for their hospital care. their illness and injury is self inflicted and they are no better than the teenagers that present with drug induced psychosis and alcahol poisoning, straining the system for people that are, god forbid, actually sick. reading the newspaper at cafe this morning, i see this article. i can't even begin to express how much i hate, hate, hate, the queensland government. how can this happen while there is a (or rather many, ongoing) crisis in public hosptials. what institution is more deserving of funds? brothels or hospitals? there are men that need sex and can't get it like everyone else does or there are people dying becuase there are no beds in hospitals which already can't afford to employ enough doctors and nurses.

i also love these points outlined by the prostitution liscensing authority (a government authoirty created under the prositituion act 1999).

-the principles of respect, integrity and impartiality
-promoting and improving safety and health in the sex industry and in the wider community
-preventing corruption and organised crime in licensed brothels

yeah? how about GTFO.

but away from prostitues who i hope one day get a hair cut and a real job (atleast they're not contemporary artists...), perhaps the real issue is the state governments. they can only leagally raise revenue through taxes on cigarettes, alcahol, gambling and prostitution (since the uniform tax case in the high court in 1942). they states are a blight on the australian governmental system and they need to be abolished. la de da.

i have an hour of so to grab a few sweet minutes sleep, and all is well until my partially open door star creaking, slowly creeping further open and creaking all the time. no, not all the time, like chineese water torture, there it goes again... silence then... eeeuggggkeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrkkkk. i try, try to ignore it, but what can it do! i jump up, run over to the door, slam it shut with all my might and scream 'you want to fucking creak now you fucking door!'. then i try to sleep again, but my whole body is awake, my head and heart pounding with anger directed at the door, which is where it always is, sitting quitely still and asking what it did wrong.

things i hate today

damien hirst's "art", especially this most famous work pile of crap. just when i thought the facre that is modern art could get no worse, this. this is not art. and what is with the terribly contrived name? this particular breed of fuckery is, i guess, a way to get attention from thoes who are just as low-brow and untalanted as ones self.

private practice general practitioners. this could go on, but i'd rather not stress myself beyond the point of ... god whatever. doctors in public hospitals, for these people i cannot say anything nearly endearing enough. their god complexes are thoroughly earned.

the idea of australia becoming a republic. constitutional monarchy reflects our history, politically, legally, culturally, socially, militarily and ethnically. why waste so much time and money fixing something that is not broken. let's save altering the constitution (or barstadising the constitution, really) for occasion when it is desperatley warranted. take a look at these figures

i had the strangest dream.... i was in toowong village and my name was edie and i met these girls who lived in a sorority, whatever that even is. it was probably one of the collages at uq. and i said i wanted to move back into college and so i joined and i was friends with this girl called nico, which is stange on like, two and a half levels. then we were on the balcony outside anz and these aliens disguised as interpol agents were there, but then so was davidtennant!doctorwho and he used that zappy flash lazer thing (i don't know, i'm such a fangirl) to teleport us down to near the subway. and i was like omg! tru luv. and then he told nico and i (god i love these names... way brain) we had to go on a mission to find ufo's and theye were like freaky!aliens not like darleks or zombie old ladies or cavemen (i am a well educated fangirl in black and white doctor who episodes- thanks rando, as if the bill wasn't bad enough). but first we went to coles to buy some juice, and i saw my old friend aimee and her friend jamie (lol, that sounds so halarious) and she told me where the juice was (as if i don't know!). then all of a sudden my friend and i were in a car in a corn field in england and there were ufo's overhead and the girl said "are you only doing this cause davidtennant!doctorwho is like the most astoundingly beautiful man in the world?" and i was like "yeah man totally!" and then we stopped at this village pub and went to hide from the invading aliens, and bees stung us and we couldn't walk properly, and i was wearing a turban. then i said "tally ho" to the old publican and everyone began behaving like animals (which, i guess, was the work of aliens?) and then the old man turned into an alien and grabbed me and fully killed me dead. the end.
